What is new?

  • Only 1 more  Flu clinic ! -- if you should have a flu vaccine and not yet had one please come

  • The Health Protection Agency has announced the launch of an education project for children who are to be taught about prudent antibiotic use and the importance of good hygiene as part of a new campaign to control the spread of antibiotic resistant infections. - see e-bug

  • The doctors are now offering 6.30pm-8.15pm routine appointments for those patients unable to attend during normal surgery hours on a rota basis. These appointments must be booked in advance. The medical centre will be open on Monday and Thursday evenings.  For security reasons, access after 6:30pm is via the ocean health door in the car park using the entry-phone.

  • We invite our patients to read the alcohol page

  • NICE  have produced some interesting guidelines recently. We would encourage our patients to read these because they help understanding of the the care we are trying to provide

  • HPV immunisation to protect teenage girls against their future risk of cancer of the cervix.

  • Urgent prescription requests continue to cause problems for patients and the practice.
