Appointments at the Medical Centre

Consultation with members of the practice team is by appointment.

We prefer you to make appointments by telephone. They can be made at the reception desk but the relative lack of privacy there does not allow us to clarify your needs and direct you to the most appropriate member of the practice team.

The doctors are happy to consult by telephone but we ask you to arrange an appointment so we can ensure confidentiality. As yet we will not offer e-mail consultations largely for reasons of confidentiality.

Extended opening hours

The doctors are now offering 6.30pm-8.10pm routine appointments for those patients unable to attend during normal surgery hours on a rota basis. These appointments must be booked in advance. The medical centre will be open on Monday and Thursday evenings.  For security reasons, access after 6:30pm is via the ocean health door in the car park using the entry-phone.

Please help us by making non-urgent appointment requests after 10:30 a.m. when the telephone lines are less busy.

Home visits

We strongly encourage  our patients to attend the medical centre where, with the benefits of a fully equipped medical centre to hand, we can provide a better standard of medical care.

If your medical condition genuinely renders you unable to get to the centre you can be visited at home.  Please telephone  before 10:30 a.m. if possible, and give as much information as possible so the doctor can prioritise his/ her visits.
