Most of the services offered in The Westbourne Medical
Centre are funded by the National Health Service but its resources are
limited. For this reason we offer additional services for those seeking
private care:
Ocean Health We have created
Ocean Health for those wishing to seek private advice and solutions for
their health and fitness. It has been designed to complement
conventional NHS general practice. We welcome registered and
non-registered patients. Ocean Health Ltd is owned and managed by the
Westbourne Medical Centre partnership.Please visit the Ocean Health website. To make an appointment please telephone 01202 756256 Private services for NHS patientsWe offer our NHS patients examinations and reports for special purposes. These include medical examinations for fitness for driving, travel, employment and certain sports. Like other doctors, for these non-NHS services, we charge a fee set at or below nationally agreed scales (available from reception). There are also charges for NHS prescriptions, dentistry, optical services and hospital travel) - see NHS costs and exemptions Private patientsPrivate patients are welcome and seen by their personal doctor either at the medical centre or at the patient's home.
